Find Used Cars in Bountiful, Utah
Bountiful is a city in Davis County,
Utah. Although a part of the Ogden-Clearfield
Metropolitan Statistical Area, it serves as a
bedroom community to Salt Lake City and the
surrounding area. This is due to its traditional,
family-oriented lifestyle, sprawling suburban homes,
and low crime rates. However, due to the very narrow
entrance into Salt Lake County, roads between the
counties often reach near-gridlock traffic during
rush hour. Bountiful was settled on September 27,
1847, by Perrigrine Sessions and his family. It was
Utah's second settlement after Salt Lake City. It
was known as both Sessions Settlement and North
Canyon Ward before being named Bountiful in 1855.
The city was incorporated in 1892 with Joseph L
Holbrook as mayor. The city grew rapidly during the
suburb growth of the late 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s.
Bountiful has a total area of 13.5 square miles, all
of it land. The original portion of the city and
downtown are located at the base of the Wasatch Range,
which rises high to the east, overlooking the city. To
the west lies a flatland that extends to the Great Salt
Lake and the mudflats and marshes that border it. Most
land to the east of Bountiful is U.S. Forest Service
property. In the 2000 Census, there were 41,301 people,
13,341 households, and 10,766 families residing in the
city. The average household size was 3.05 and the
average family size was 3.46. The median income for a
household in the city was $55,993, and the median income
for a family was $62,905.
Information About Bountiful Used
Cars
It is common knowledge that,
when selecting a used car, you must go into
the search knowing exactly what your budget
will be, and what a maximum negotiating
price is. It is very important to stick to
this limit, as overspending may end up being
regret down the road. So, what type of used
car will fit into your particular price
range? The starting point for a used car
that is road worthy and running is a range
of $1000-$2000. A used vehicle like this may
be able to serve as basic point to point
transportation. The cars will usually have
high mileage, and would be sold by a private
party; dealers don’t bother to keep used
cars or used trucks of this caliber on their
lot. In this price range, it is likely that
in the near future you may face many or
costly repairs, and will wonder how much
money to pour into the used car.
The next range up would be
considered around a $5000 to $9000 price
tag. In the mid level range, a used car
could be found that is, not considered
ancient, but still at least 5 or six years
old. The vehicle may have high mileage, but
could also be in good shape, especially if
it was well maintained by the previous
owner. Normally, independent used car
dealers sell a vehicle at this price, and it
will take much more searching to find
exactly what you want.
The upper range for used cars would be
$10,000-$18,000 (always with the possibility
to go higher). Here you would find a new
vehicle, two to four years old. Although you
would not be getting a luxury car, it would
give the opportunity to own something
stylish, with some up to date technologies
and safety features. If properly maintained,
a used car like this should last for another
few years relatively trouble-free.
