Find Used Ford F-150 Trucks in Utah
You can find a 2001 Ford F-150 in so
many different configurations and options, it can
get confusing. Some are shorter than others, some
are lower. Some configuration go for a pure work
truck, some go for off-roading. There is even a
luxury version. There are many bed lengths, three
cab configurations, and two body styles. Engines
that are available include the standard 4.2-liter V6
engine (202 horsepower), the 4.6-liter V8 (220
horsepower), and the 5.4-liter V8 which produces 260
horsepower. There are 5-speed manual and 4-speed
automatic transmissions that can be found. The
different styles that were made in this production
year are short and long cargo beds, Regular Cabs,
SuperCab four-door extended cabs, and SuperCrew
four-door crew cabs, flat (Styleside) and fendered
(Flareside) bed styles. Two- and four-wheel drives
were made, and the trim levels are the XL, the XLT,
and the Lariat. There are also a variety of colors
and options. The SuperCrew is one model style. This
used truck is found with luxurious rear-seat
accommodations and four full-size doors. It also is
equipped like a luxury sport-utility, with
power-adjustable pedals and optional moonroof,
rear-seat entertainment system, and a beautiful
leather interior. Crew cabs became popular in the
early 2000s, and there were many made within the mid
size truck range. Yet, this used truck can be
considered one of the most comfortable in its class.
The short length( 5 ½ Feet) of the bed can make
daily driving a much easier process, it is a big
difference than trying to maneuver the typical pick
up. On the Lariat, XL, and XLT trims of the 2001
F-150, power adjustable pedals are standard, these
make driving for smaller people much safer. All
F-150s of 2001 have antilock brakes. The XLT shines
with amenities, such as remote keyless entry
technology, dual air bags with a passenger-side
deactivation switch, a back panel cover and rear
storage tray, dual map lights, map pockets, an upper
vinyl applique, courtesy lamps, color-keyed
carpeting and headliner, complete instrumentation
including a tachometer, an auxiliary 12-volt power
point, power windows and locks, an electronic AM/FM
stereo CD/cassette system with four speakers, cloth
split bench seats with recliners, armrests, and
manual lumbar support on the driver's side, speed
control, tilt steering wheel, and speed-dependent
interval windshield wipers. The fuel economy range
is 20 mpg on the highway and 16 mpg in the City (
the truck takes regular unleaded fuel). The F-150 is
considered to be a stylish truck, and Ford has
managed to keep a focus on aerodynamic performance,
which Dodge and GM pickups of this year fail to do.
This aerodynamic shape actually adds to safety, as
the hood falls away rapidly from the base of the
windshield, making it easier to see what's
immediately in front of the truck. Compared to its
competition it is rounder and more car like. This
was a smart move by Ford, as the style attracted a
wider variety of consumers, not just those
interested in a macho truck look. This used pick up
has been the leader in sales many years, actually by
a considerable margin. Ford F-150 have a modern feel
to them ,and this is often a plus for those
interested in used trucks. The 2001 Ford F-150
offers great value, a unique look, more size, power,
and configuration options than you could imagine,
and a high performance, comfortable truck.
