About Used Ford F-350 Trucks in
Utah
The F-350 pickup is nothing but a
serious truck, it is able to tow more than 9900
pounds and haul more than 3000. The F-350, with its
optional dual rear wheels, competes against the
3500-series models from GM and Dodge. This used
truck takes unleaded fuel 87, has a main 29 gallon
fuel tank, it comes with a heavy duty alternator and
heavy duty duel battery. The power train on this
work horse is top of the line. The engines that were
used for the 2004 F-350 were a standard 5.4-liter V8
gas engine, a 6.0-liter turbo-diesel V8, and a
6.8-liter gasoline V10. these trucks do not handle
the best, as sophistication was not a top priority.
Yet, over the years the used trucks have gotten more
and more family friendly and drivable. The interior
was upgraded for the 2004 model, including a power
sliding moon roof on some of the trucks. This Ford
Super Duty is offered in more configurations than
one can keep track of. Ford offered nearly 60
options in the F-350 (or 1-ton size). The
configurations that one may find when searching for
a used truck are the regular-cab, the extended-cab (SuperCab)
and the Crew Cab. Crew Cab versions come with four
full-sized doors, and are the most
passenger-friendly models. Two- or four-wheel drive
are other variations. Four-wheel-drive models offer
either manual-locking or shift-on-the-fly
auto-locking hubs.
Some more options that may be
found are the short bed(6’ ¾â€), and the long
bed (8 feet). Wheelbase lengths include 137
inches (regular cab), 142 inches (SuperCab short-bed), 158 inches (SuperCab
long-bed), 156 inches (Crew Cab short-bed), and 172
inches (Crew Cab long-bed). The configurations go
on.
F-350 models are available with
single rear wheels (SRW) or dual rear wheels (DRW).
The trim level that were made are standard XL,
mid-level XLT, luxurious Lariat, and top of the
class King Ranch. XL models are the most basic, and
least expensive. XLT models are equipped more like
the average passenger vehicle. The Lariat go to
leather seats and aluminum wheels. The King Ranch
models are exquisite. They come with four leather
captain's chairs, extensive leather touches, and
unique paint and trim. Four-wheel-disc brakes with
ABS are standard on all Super Duty models. The style
of the Super Duty, with a dropped sill line,
presents a feeling of space and makes accessibility
greater. It is easy to climb into (relatively
speaking), and is easy to load the cab. Another
styling feature aids to safety, as there is a dip
along the front door side glass that improves the
driver's view of the exterior mirrors. Any added
visibility in a truck is welcome. A locking tailgate
is standard. Passenger-side airbags offer a
deactivation switch on regular cab and SuperCab
models. Adjustable seatbelt anchors increase safety
and comfort, which is decent for a used truck. The
interior of the F-350 features a fold-down armrest,
a floor console that can accommodate a laptop, and a
removable hanging storage bin that can attach to the
dash. Even the standard bench seats recline. The
rear seat cushion folds up and forward, and the
seatback folds down to create a flat, steel loading
surface, perfect for heavy duty work purposes and
keeping tools safe. The Ford F-350 is a used trucks
that looks good, and has capabilities beyond the
average pickup. It may not be refined, but after
all, it is designed for its sheer strength and size,
and this is where it is the strongest.
