Find Used Hyundai Cars in Utah
Hyundai is a Korean automaker that is
new, relative to other companies. Their vehicles,
including cars and SUVs generally have customer
satisfaction and are offered at an affordable price. The
overall quality has improved in the past few years, and
their cars are currently backed by one of the industry's
longest warranties. Chung Ju Yung founded the Hyundai
Civil Engineering Company in 1947, but the factory was
bombed shortly after in the Korean War. Somehow the
company recovered and survived, and became one of Koreas
leading endeavors during the 1950s. The business was
originally involved in construction, but the attention
was refocused on automobiles in the 1960s. Although the
Korean government was not interested in supporting a
domestic automaker, the official Hyundai Motor Company
was born in 1967.
There was a two-year contract with
Ford, with the purpose of sharing assembly
technology. The Cortina was the first car under the
Hyundai name, and the Pony, a compact, debuted in
1974. The next exporting became one of Hyundai’s
everyday businesses. The first vehicle in the United
States was called the Excel, a subcompact. With a
very cheap price tag attracting buyers, it was a
huge success. But, before long, after Hyundai began
to use there own production methods, their
reputation was poor. The vehicles were known for
poor durability and reliability. As the sales hit an
all time low, Hyundai chose to invest heavily into
the U.S. market, as opposed to opting out
altogether. Their goal was to improve designs and
overall quality and reliability. By 2000, Hyundai
had made great progress in their goal. Their
reputation was restored to positive after the
quality and performance achieved a sharp increase.
One way of gaining back consumers trust was to offer
an extraordinary warranty.
Utah Used Hyundai Cars
Hyundai may not offer the
vast selections of used cars that other
manufacturers have, but remains to hold its
own. In 1998, the company purchased Kia,
another Korean brand. With both of these
names out there in the used car market, they
are known for a great quality vehicle on a
tight budget. Hyundai’s best-selling model
in America is the Elantra. It is a compact
sedan that entered the United States market
in 1991.
This used car got a makeover in 2001, when
the GT trim was added, and received further
styling updates in 2004. The 2004 Elantra
has a retail value between $7,800 and
$8,725. The new styling for the 2004
includes a new hood, deck lid, front and
rear bumpers, grille, headlamps and
taillights. The inside of the used car got
an update from previous years too. It has a
redesigned instrument panel, vents, center
console and climate controls. The engine for
this model year was fitted with a new
continuously variable valve timing, and
horsepower ratings of either 138 and 132.
The base GLS model received remote keyless
entry as standard equipment, and the GT trim
line has a Kenwood CD/MP3 audio system as
standard.
This is a used car that is solidly built,
has excellent standard features, a super low
price tag – thus it is an exceptional value
for those in the used car market.
