Find Used Dodge Ram 1500 Trucks in
Utah
The 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 got a
complete makeover for its model year, including a
re-engineering, and a new level of comfort and
refinement. It also has improved hauling and towing
capacity, and a more powerful and fuel efficient
engine. This used truck will bring a smooth ride and
a larger and more convenient cab. Though the Ram has
not quite caught up with trucks from GM and Ford, it
certainly gives them a new wave of competition in
the used truck category. The Ram 1500 has a fuel
economy range of 20 mpg on the highway and 15 mpg in
the City. It takes regular unleaded fuel and has a
towing capacity of 8,650 lbs. There are two bed
lengths that may be found on the 2004: a 6-foot,
3-inch standard bed and an 8-foot long bed. The Ram
1500 Quad Cab is the only half-ton crew-cab pickup
with an 8-foot bed for this model year. Four-wheel
drive and two-wheel drive are variables on these
used trucks, as are different engines, such as the
4.7-liter V8, a new overhead cam design(most
popular), a 3.7-liter V6, and a big 5.9-liter engine
using the older overhead-valve design that is meant
for powerful towing. Trim levels that may be found
when looking at used trucks include basic ST, SLT,
SLT Plus, and Sport. ST does come with air
conditioning, but is equipped with vinyl upholstery,
wind-up windows, and manual door locks.
SLT includes cloth upholstery,
interior trim, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and
wider tires. SLT Plus is the luxury package, it adds
leather seats surfaces, dual-zone air conditioning,
a premium stereo, cast aluminum wheels, and a long,
and many other luxury and convenience features. The
Ram 1500 was introduced in 1994, and since then has
found that is bold style, power, and capabilities
have made it very successful model. Although the
2004 Ram was redesigned, this used truck kept its
trademark horse-collar grille and Freightliner
fenders. Though side by side with previous models,
it has a clear feeling of refinement and comfort.
The roominess in the 2004 has increased
dramatically. To do this Dodge took three inches out
of the bed and added more than three inches to the
cab. Most would be willing to have a used truck that
sacrifies a bit of bed for a bit of cab. Cab styles
include a regular cab and the four-door,
six-passenger Quad Cab. This used truck is very
adjustable for smaller drivers: the pedals are
adjustable so shorter drivers can be comfortable
without worrying about being too close to the airbag
(a key safety factor), some Ram 1500s will also have
side-curtain airbags. The truck is also safer
because of oversized mirrors, which make it easier
to see what's behind. Regular cab models come with a
tray behind the seats big enough to hold a large
bucket. Dodge even supplies the bucket, and a tray
designed to carry tools. Other amenities include
hooks behind the seats are handy for hanging dry
cleaning or plastic shopping bags. The truck is big
and tall, the ride height of the Ram gives a feeling
of control. It can be difficult to be sure where
fenders are on this used truck, so any driver should
be confident in handling it. The 2002 Dodge Ram is
stylish, highly capable, and comfortable.
